You have the best Calorie Counter/Nutri Info tool on the whole web. The search function, the controls for amounts, and the completeness of information for each type of food are superb! Thanks a million. Best wishes, -S.

I just stumbled upon your site and I will definitely be adding it to my favorites. Love the cereal comparison!

So I didn't know that there are actual supplements that can help reduce soreness? Seems that you're not a fan of the L-glutamine. Any other suggestions?

Thanks for your take on L-Glutamine.

What are your thoughts about BCAAs and supplementing between meals with them.

ronald: It certainly won't hurt. However, as long as you are getting some of your fat intake from stuff like nuts (any kind) and/or olive oil, and are also taking a fish oil supplement, you definitely wouldn't NEED flax seed oil. You could definitely still take it though.

Lance/William: I've become less of a fan of l-glutamine over the years as I've learned more about/more research has come out. It's certainly still safe, and it can still definitely be useful, just not quite as useful as most people thought a few years ago. If you feel it's helping reduce soreness, then by all means keep taking it. If you feel it's making no difference, feel free to stop taking it and see if you notice any changes. If you do, feel free to take it again. If you don't, then you can probably save your money.

I am also curious what your take on L-Glutamine is.
I have been taking 5gms post workout and with a morning protein shake.
I have found post-workout soreness to be reduced by 2/3.
My wife has also had the post-workout soreness reduced by 2/3 and does not fancy working out without it afterwards. She only has 5gms post workout with protein shake.
Please comment on the use of L-Glutamine..

you have done and awesome job with your site and information. Thanks for sharing.
